Answers to some of your questions about recovering a forgotten screen lock passcode
How do I recover a forgotten screen lock passcode?
If the passcode to unlock your BlackBerry® Bold™ 9930 is not entered successfully after the maximum number of consecutive attempts (3-10), it cannot be recovered. If the device is connected to a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), the administrator may be able to reset the passcode without deleting data.
How do I reset the screen lock passcode?
The only way to reset the screen lock passcode is to exceed the maximum number of attempts. Exceeding the maximum number of attempts consequently deletes all data on the device and resets your BlackBerry Bold 9930.
Note: It is highly recommended that the device data is backed up on a regular basis by synchronizing the device with Blackberry Desktop Software on a computer.
