Find and update the software version on your HTC Touch Pro2

Just like your computer, your phone's software needs to be updated periodically to make sure you have all the latest fixes and enhancements to keep it running at optimal performance. Follow the steps below to check your current version and perform any needed updates.

Check the version on your phone
To find the software version on your Touch Pro2:
- From the Home screen, tap Start
- Tap Phone > Menu > Device Information
- On the Version tab, the Software Version will be listed in the format ROM Version x.xx.xxx.x
- To return to the Home screen, tap the End key
Update your software
Important Note: All data will be deleted from your Touch Pro2 during the upgrade to version 2.04.651.4 (music, pictures, 3rd party applications, etc). Before starting the upgrade, be sure to back up all of your data using ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center, if you are running Windows Vista.
