Find and update the software version on your Kyocera Echo

Just like your computer, your phone's software needs to be updated periodically to make sure you have all the latest fixes and enhancements to keep it running at optimal performance. Follow the steps below to check your current version and perform any needed updates.

Check the version on your phone

To find the software version on your Kyocera Echo™:

  1. From the Home screen, press Menu
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Scroll up and tap About phone
  4. The Software Version shows the current version on your phone

Update your software

To update your Echo over the air:

  1. From the Home screen, press Menu
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Scroll up and tap System updates > Update Android > Check now
  4. Tap OK to download and install the update
  5. A pop up will ask you to ensure your batter is charged at least 50% - Tap OK
  6. Your phone will automatically download and install any available updates; you may need to power your phone off and back on to complete the update.
