Just like your computer, your phone's software needs to be updated periodically to make sure you have all the latest fixes and enhancements to keep it running at optimal performance. Follow the steps below to check your current version and perform any needed updates.

Check the version on your phone
To check the version on your phone:
- Press Menu/OK to access the main menu
- Select Settings, and press Menu/OK
- Select Phone Information, and press Menu/OK
- Select Version, and press Menu/OK. Software Version will be listed in the format S/W Version LX265VXX
Update your software
Follow the instructions below to get the latest software downloads for your phone:
- Press Menu/OK to access the main menu
- Select Tools, and press Menu/OK
- Select Update Phone, and press Menu/OK
- Select Update Firmware, and press Menu/OK. The following message appears: Checking for firmware update. Please wait.
- You will be prompted to install the update after it has been downloaded to your device
