Just like your computer, the software on your phone needs to be updated periodically to make sure you have all the latest fixes and enhancements to keep it running at optimal performance. Follow the steps below to check your current version and perform any needed updates.

Check the version on your phone
To check the version on your phone:
- From the Main screen, press the Menu/OK key to access the main menu.
- Select Settings.
- Select Phone Information.
- Select Version; the software version is listed in the format LX400VXX.
Update your software
Follow the instructions below to get the latest software downloads for your phone:
- From the Main screen, press the Menu/OK key to access the main menu.
- Select Tools.
- Select Update Phone.
- Select Update firmware and press the Menu/OK key. The following message appears: Checking for firmware update. Please wait.
Note: You're prompted to install the update after it's downloaded to your phone.
