Find and update the software version on your MiFi 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot by Novatel Wireless

Just like your computer, your device's software needs to be updated periodically to make sure you have all the latest fixes and enhancements to keep it running at optimal performance. Follow the steps below to check your current version and perform any needed updates.
Note: Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 users may not be able to save updated security settings on this device. If you have Microsoft Vista service pack 2 and Internet Explorer 7 (this combination only), you are advised to update your browser.
If you switch networks (e.g. from 4G to 3G) during an over-the-air firmware upgrade, your update will be paused. Click resume to continue the update.

Check the version on your phone
To find the software version on your MiFi® 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot by Novatel Wireless:
- Log in to the MiFi Admin page by typing http://mifi.mlp in your computer Web browser address window while connected to the Internet with your MiFi
- Click System at the top of the page
- Click Settings and then click Software Update
- The current software version will be shown in the Current Software Version field
Update your software
To update your MiFi over the air:
- Log in to the MiFi Admin page by typing http://mifi.mlp in your computer Web browser address window while connected to the Internet with your MiFi
- Click System at the top of the page
- Click Settings and then click Software Update
- Click Check Now
- If there is an update available, a notice will appear in the status field; if there is an update available, click Download & Install
