Steps to activate your Sierra Wireless 4G LTE Tri-Fi Hotspot

Your Sierra Wireless™ 4G LTE Tri-Fi Hotspot is usually activated at the time of purchase and no further action is required.

If your Sierra Wireless 4G LTE Tri-Fi Hotspot was not activated at the time of purchase and you plug the device into your computer, your computer may display a 3G Activation Required alert or Device Self-Activation wizard.

If your computer displays one of these alerts, use your computer to complete activation steps below.

  • 3G Activation Required

    1. Check the Sprint coverage map and verify you're in an area with 3G coverage.
    2. Open the web browser and enter http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.
    3. The Sierra Wireless 4G LTE Tri-Fi Hotspot home page displays.
    4. Enter the administrator password in the Admin Login section.
      • Note: The default password is password.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Click the ! icon to display the alert window.
    7. If more than one alert is available, click the < or > icons to browse to the 3G Activation Required alert.
    8. In the alert, click Activate now.
    9. Your Sierra Wireless 4G LTE Tri-Fi Hotspot activates.
  • Device Self-Activation Wizard

    1. Check the Sprint coverage map and verify you're in an area with 3G coverage.
    2. Follow the onscreen instructions displayed in the Device Self-Activation wizard.

If you are having any difficulty with activation, make an appointment at a nearby Sprint Store for assistance getting your device programmed.
