Fix an issue when Sprint SmartView software did not install properly on the Ovation U760 by Novatel Wireless

Last Updated: Oct 07, 2011

You may experience the following issue with your Ovation U760 by Novatel Wireless:

If you had a previous version of SmartView installed on your computer, the Zero CD Auto install process may not run properly due to driver conflicts during the installation process. Removing the previous version and then starting the installation process again will correct this.

Windows® XP operating system

  1. Remove the U760 USB modem from the port.
  2. Click Start, click Control Panel (in Classic View: Start > Settings > Control Panel), and then double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  3. Select Sprint SmartView, and then click Remove.
  4. Wait for the removal process to complete.

NOTE: If the removal process was not successful, access this file and download the Driver Cleanup Tool for Windows, version 1.00.0013. You will need to have alternative Internet access (e.g., corporate Internet or Wi-Fi access) to download this tool to your desktop. Be sure to read the Release Notes for supported software and device information before unzipping the file and starting the installation process.
