When you have the sound set to OFF on your BlackBerry® Pearl™ 8130 smartphone, you will still hear audio if you are listening to Sprint Music, Sprint TV or other third-party media applications on the phone.
This is by design, and the phone is operating properly. To control the sound, use the audio controls associated with the application you're using.
