Text messaging, also known as texting or SMS, means you can send and receive short text-based messages between mobile phones. Each message is deducted from your plan's allotted text messages, and you'll be charged fees if you don't have a plan.

Premium Text Messaging is a service that allows you to use your phone bill as a payment method for services received using text messages. This interaction is usually between the mobile phone and an application, such as stock updates or bank account notification. There are additional charges for other services such as voting or ringtone downloads, but you can use many services at your plan's standard rate.
