Know what Super AMOLED is on your Samsung Epic 4G

Last Updated: Nov 16, 2013

Super AMOLED stands for Super Active-matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode and is a display technology that provides a 20 percent brighter screen, while reducing screen glare from sunlight by as much as 80 percent. The touch sensors are on the display itself as opposed to a separate layer, making this one of the thinnest phones on the market. Even with this brighter, crisper picture, the Super AMOLED uses less power – adding 20 percent more battery life to the phone.
