Your BlackBerry phone is like a miniature mobile computer and may get stuck or freeze from time to time (much like you experience with your home or work computer). Try the following steps to resolve:
1. Turn off the phone
2. Remove the battery cover and battery and leave the battery out for 1 minute
3. Replace the battery and battery cover
4. Turn on the phone
It can take several minutes for the phone to restart after removing the battery. It is normal for a white screen and timer icon to display during startup- it is not an indicator that the device is locked or frozen.
We recommend that you remove and reinstall the battery periodically – once or twice a month – in order to enhance the performance of your BlackBerry smartphone.
