Learn how dual band and tri-mode phones offer combined coverage

Last Updated: Oct 19, 2011

Dual band /tri-mode phones operate on two digital bands plus analog networks. These types of phones give you the combined coverage of both dual-band and digital dual-band phones.

Important note: After February 18, 2008, analog roaming partners began retiring their analog networks. Your dual-mode/tri-mode device will no longer operate on these (analog) roaming partner networks, but will still operate on the Sprint Network and roaming partner CDMA networks.

These digital roaming coverage areas give you expanded voice coverage with digital dual band or dual band/tri-mode phones.

All of this coverage is available to you at no additional charge with current national Sprint rate plans. To see additional voice coverage go to the Sprint Coverage Tool.

NOTE: Not all services and features are available in these areas.
