For security reasons, child phones receive a text from Sprint Family Locator when they become locatable. Additionally, locatable phones receive notification via text about once a month.
Note: If you are locating any phones that are not on your Sprint account, those phones will receive notifications each time you locate them.

No, there is not. The phone will have to send a confirmation message to allow family locator to work
