Monthly installments are an affordable option to pay for your phone, tablet or mobile broadband device over time. You simply purchase an eligible device with a variable down payment, depending on device, and agree to monthly installment payments for the device.
Yes, you will sign an Installment Agreement that allows you to pay for the device with monthly installments. Additionally, you are subject to the terms of the selected service and are required to sign a month-to-month Service Agreement, but you will not be subject to a term commitment.
If a customer on an Installment Agreement cancels service prior to completing their device payments, the remaining unpaid balance on the device will be due on customer's next invoice.
Tablets and mobile broadband devices are not eligible for annual upgrades.
Smartphones and feature phones may be eligible for annual upgrades while on certain qualifying plans. Visit sprint.com/mysprint and sign in for details. Note: The phone the customer gives back after the 12 consecutive installment payments must be the same or equivalent model that was subject to the original installment.

There are currently no related service discounts for devices purchased with monthly installments.

No. Currently no business discretionary credits or other discounted device promotions are combinable with monthly installments.
Who is eligible for monthly installments?
How will payments be divided up?
Customers will pay the same amount monthly except for the final payment. The balance will be due with the final payment.
Where can I purchase a device with monthly installments?
You can purchase a device with monthly installments on sprint.com and at participating retail locations.
What out of pocket costs does the customer need to pay at purchase when participating in monthly installments?
The customer will be required to pay all applicable sales tax against the Suggested Retail Price (SRP) as well as any applicable down payment for any device being purchased. See store for specific pricing details.
Are prepaid accounts eligible for monthly installments?
No. Prepaid accounts are not eligible for monthly installments.
Are corporate liable accounts eligible for monthly installments?
Yes. Select small corporate liable accounts are eligible for monthly installments. Large corporate liable accounts are not eligible for monthly installments at this time.
Can a customer pay more than their scheduled monthly Installment Agreement?
Yes, a customer can pay more than their scheduled monthly Installment Agreement.
How often can I upgrade if I choose monthly installments?
You can upgrade at any time after your device is paid in full, even if you are enrolled in the $10 Early Upgrade option.
Can a customer enroll in a device protection program (e.g. Total Equipment Protection) for devices purchased with monthly installments?
Yes, the customer has the option to enroll in the various device protection programs to protect, replace and repair their device. Enrollment in a device protection program is optional, but Sprint highly encourages customers to enroll to protect their investment.
The customer is responsible for their device if it breaks during their Installment Agreement. The customer will be responsible for the remainder of the unpaid balance regardless of the operability of the tablet.
How many Installment Agreements can an account have?
A customer can have as many installment agreements as lines of service they are approved for (Max 10 for consumers and individual liable customers).
Is there an activation or upgrade fee for customers who purchase a device with monthly installments?
What if I go on Military Suspend with an active Installment Agreement?
If your line is suspended under our currently military suspend program, your Installment Billing payments will also suspend and your payments and service will resume upon your return from military service.
What is the Return and Exchange Policy for devices purchased with monthly installments?
Sprint's Satisfaction Guarantee applies to all Installment Billing agreements. For more details about Sprint's policy, visit sprint.com/returns.
Can I purchase a device with monthly installments through my Business Sales Representative?
No. Monthly installments are expected to be available in additional business channels in the future.
Can I choose monthly installments if I pre-order a device?
What is the $10 Early Upgrade option and how does it work?
The Early Upgrade option is available to customers who are upgrading a phone purchased with monthly installments or leased with a qualifying plan. Simply choose to add-on the $10 per month per line early upgrade option plan within 30 days of the new activation of a new phone. After you've paid the $10 monthly charge for 12 consecutive months, you can upgrade to a new phone with monthly installments or a lease. Giveback of your current phone will be required. See Sprint Giveback Program Terms for details. The charge will discontinue either when you choose to upgrade the phone or pay off all of your installment payments.
The $10 Early Upgrade add-on is not available for customers who purchase a phone with 2-yr discount pricing.
Can I cancel my $10 per month per line early upgrade option?
Yes, you can cancel the $10 monthly add-on at any time. If you cancel, you will not be permitted to add the option back on and you will lose the option to upgrade early if you have not completed any early upgrades that you are eligible to receive. Early upgrade option payments made prior to cancelling the option are not refundable.
How do I exercise my Early Upgrade option?
Early upgrade requires active add-on thru time of upgrade with minimum of 12 consecutive payments of both the add-on and an installment agreement for phones, new phone Installment Agreement, account in good standing, and give back of current eligible device in good & functional condition. After upgrade, remaining unbilled installment or lease payments for giveback device are waived. A device upgrade does not guarantee customer can retain current plan.
