Play previously purchased Sprint Music Store music if you swap or upgrade your phone

Last Updated: Nov 19, 2013

To see whether you can still play your music on your new device, you will need to transfer your music to the new device and then try to play it.

When launching the Sprint Music Store on your new phone for the first time, the application will automatically update the database with the electronic serial number (ESN) for your new phone. You will get access to the store on your new phone and have digital rights to play music that was purchased on your previous device.

There are two ways to play previously purchased music on your new phone. You can remove the Micro SD card from the old phone and put it into the new one, or you can follow these steps:

1. Go to the main menu of your phone

2. Select Music Store

3. Navigate to Player tab

4. Press the left soft-key for Menu and select Web Sync. A progress bar will be displayed.

5. Once complete, all songs will be displayed on the Player tab

6. Choose desired download option:

  • All songs - to download all purchased songs to the phone
  • One song - to download one song to the phone
  • Cancel - to return to the Music Store

If you change your phone number and ESN at the same time, you will be prompted for your Sprint Music Store password. If you can't remember your password, call Customer Care at 888-211-4727. A representative will retrieve your password for you.
