Steps to program and activate your BlackBerry 8330

You can use these programming instructions if you have a new or used BlackBerry Curve 8330, and you have completed the Activate your new phone process in My Sprint.

In order to complete the steps in this guide, you must have the programming codes that were given to you during the Activate your new phone process.

• Program your BlackBerry® Curve™ 8330

  1. From the home screen, press the Send key.
  2. On the My Number screen, complete one of the following:
     • If you have a new device, enter ## followed by the one-time 6-digit code from the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page. For example, ##123456.
     • If you have a used device, enter ## followed by the secondary 6-digit code from the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page. For example, ##123456.
  3. Press the Send key.
  4. In the CDMA Service Edit screen, scroll to the Mobile Directory Number field.
  5. Enter your 10-digit phone number (MDN) from the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page.
  6. In the CDMA Service Edit screen, scroll to the IMSI_S field.
  7. Enter your 10-digit MSID from the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page.
  8. Press the Menu key.
  9. Scroll to Save and press the trackball.
  10. Your device restarts.
  11. After it restarts, your device is ready to be used.

• Activate your BlackBerry's Mobile Network capability

  1. From the home screen, press the Menu key.
  2. Scroll to Options and press the trackball.
  3. Scroll to Mobile Network and press the trackball.
  4. Press the Menu key.
  5. Scroll to Start Provisioning and press the trackball.
  6. With OK highlighted, press the trackball.
