Hands-Free Programming

To program your phone:

1. Press the Power key to turn on your phone.
2. Press the Menu button.
3. Scroll to the Manage Connections icon and click the trackpad.
4. Make sure Mobile Network is On. A checkmark will display if Mobile Network is on. If not, scroll to Mobile Network and click the trackpad. A checkmark will appear and Sprint will display.
5. The coverage indicator will appear in the upper-right corner showing 1XEV and Hands-Free activation will start. Note: If Hands-Free activation does not begin, go to One-Touch programming.
6. If Hands-Free activation has completed successfully but the Browser icon has not appeared, do the following:
• Make sure none of the icons are hidden.
• Perform an Update Data Profile: Options > Network and Connections > Mobile Network > Menu Key > Update Profile.
• From the Host Routing Table, perform a Register Now.
• Go to Options > Device > Advanced System Settings > Host Routing Table.
• Press Menu button then choose Register Now.

One-Touch Programming

If your phone did not activate successfully when you turned it on for the first time, complete the following steps:

1. Press the Applications button.
2. Scroll to the Manage Connections icon and click the trackpad.
3. Make sure Mobile Network is On. A checkmark will display if Mobile Network is on. If not, scroll to Mobile Network and click the trackpad. A checkmark will appear and Sprint will display.
4. From the Main screen, scroll to the Options icon and press the trackpad.
5. Scroll to Networks and Connections and press the trackpad.
6. Go to Mobile Network and press the trackpad.
7. Press the Applications button.
8. Scroll to Update Profile and press the trackpad.
9. Programming will begin; select OK when programming is complete.

Program a Used Phone or Perform a Device Reset

If you are programming a phone that was previously activated on our network and used by another customer, please follow these steps. Must be performed so Hands-Free Activation can restart. Note: These steps will permanently clear out all previous programming and Windows Live account information.

1. Using the phone dial pad, press ##, then hold down the ALT key and type SCRTN
2. Press the green Talk button.
3. A pop-up message will appear: SCRTN will change to factory default value for DSS
4. Highlight Continue, then press trackpad.
5. A pop-up message will appear: SCRTN Successful. The device will now reset to apply the necessary changes.
6. Click OK.
7. Your phone will reset and begin activation. This may take a few minutes.
8. Once the phone powers on, turn on the Mobile Network.
9. Hands Free Activation will start again.
10. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the activation process.
