Program your HTC Mogul

Last Updated: Nov 18, 2013

You can use these programming instructions if you have a new phone or a used phone activated by a previous owner, and you have completed the Activate your new phone process in My Sprint. If so, you should refer to the page you printed showing the codes you need for these instructions to work.

To program your phone:

  1. Find the serial number on your phone. This appears in three places:
    • By the barcode sticker on the end of the box, labeled ESN or MEID.
    • Underneath the battery in the phone, to the right of the barcode sticker.
    • From the dial pad screen, press Menu, and then select Device Information.
  2. If you have removed the battery from your device, place the battery back in. Press and hold the End key to turn the device on. Verify that the screen shows the correct date and time.
  3. Press the Phone key one time to display the dial pad.
  4. If you have a new phone that has never been activated, using the stylus, tap ## followed by the one-time 6-digit code, located in the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page, followed by an additional #. (For example ##123456#. The last # entered will not show on the display.)
  5. If you have a previously activated phone, one that is new to you but not brand new, using the stylus, tap ## followed by the secondary 6-digit code, located in the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page, followed by an additional #. (For example ##123456#. The last # entered will not show on the display.)
  6. Click to select the Edit radio button.
  7. Click to select MDN, click Menu, and then click Edit.
  8. Using the QWERTY or virtual keyboard, enter the 10-digit MDN, and then click OK.
  9. Click to select MSID, click Menu, and then click Edit.
  10. Using the QWERTY or virtual keyboard, enter the 10-digit MSID, and then click OK.
  11. With the correct MDN and MSID entered, click Menu, and then click OK.
  12. The prompt will appear verifying update. Click Yes.
  13. After the write is successful, a reset dialog box appears. Click OK. The device will power cycle.

NOTE: It can take up to four hours to complete the activation process and for your phone to begin working. If the provisioning process does not complete within five hours, contact us.
