Program your M1 by Sanyo

Last Updated: Nov 18, 2013

You can use these programming instructions if you have a new phone or a used phone activated by a previous owner, and you have completed the Activate your new phone process in My Sprint. If so, you should refer to the page you printed showing the codes you need for these instructions to work.

To program your phone:

  1. Locate the electronic serial number (ESN) for your phone. It can be found in two places:
    • Underneath the battery in the phone on the right side of the barcode sticker. NOTE: Please turn off your phone before removing the battery.
    • On a barcode sticker, labeled ESN-DEC on the end of the original box.
  2. Once you locate the ESN, press and hold the END key to turn on your phone.
  3. Verify that the screen shows Date and Time.
  4. If you have a new phone that has never been activated, follow the instructions below:
    • Press ## followed by the one-time 6-digit code, located in the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page, followed by an additional #. (For example, ##123456#. The last # entered will not show on the display.)
  5. If you have a previously activated phone, a phone that is new to you, but not brand new, follow the instructions below:
    • Press ## followed by the secondary 6-digit code, located in the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page, followed by an additional #. (For example, ##123456#. The last # entered will not show on the display.)
  6. Scroll down to Edit and press the OK key. Enter MDN will be displayed.
  7. Enter the 10-digit MDN, located on the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page, and press the OK key. Enter MSID will be displayed. NOTE: Entering the MDN and MSID numbers will clear out any numbers that are currently in the phone.
  8. Enter the 10-digit MSID and press the OK key. This will take you back to the original Service Programming screen.
  9. Scroll down to Done and press the OK key. Your phone will power cycle and programming is complete.

NOTE: It can take up to four hours to complete the activation process and for your phone to begin working. If the provisioning process does not complete within five hours, contact us.
