You can use these programming instructions if you have a new phone or a used phone activated by a previous owner, and you have completed the Activate your new phone process in My Sprint. If so, you should refer to the page you printed showing the codes you need for these instructions to work.
To program your phone:
-
Find the serial number on your phone. This appears in two places:
-
By the barcode sticker on the end of the box, labeled ESN or MEID.
-
Underneath the battery in the phone, to the right of the barcode sticker. Skip
this step, if you have already entered in the Activate your new phone
screen.
-
Place the battery back in your phone. Press and hold the END key to
turn the phone on.
-
Verify the screen displays the correct date and time.
-
If you have a new phone, a phone that has never been activated, follow the
instructions below:
-
Press ## followed by the secondary 6-digit code, located in the Programming
Instructions section, on the Activate your new phone page,
followed by an additional #. (Example 6-digit code: ##123456#.
The last # entered will not show on the display.)
-
If you have a previously activated phone, a phone that is new to you, but not
brand new, follow the instructions below:
-
Press ## followed by the secondary 6-digit code, located in the Programming
Instructions section, on the Activate your new phone page,
followed by an additional #. (Example 6-digit code: ##123456#.
The last # entered will not show on the display.)
-
Scroll to Edit, and then press the Menu/OK key.
-
Enter the 10-digit MDN or PTN, and then press the Menu/OK
key.
-
Enter the 10-digit MSID/IMSI, and then press the Menu/OK
key.
-
From the Service Program screen, scroll to Done, and then press
the Menu/OK key.
