Program your NETGEAR 4G LTE Gateway 6100D

Steps to activate your NETGEAR 4G LTE Gateway 6100D

Symptoms:

  • Unable to connect to the Sprint network

Note: Before you try these steps, check the Sprint coverage map and verify that you are in an area with good coverage.

  • Activation

    If this is the first time activating your device, activation automatically runs in the background as you go through the initial setup process.

    Initial sign-in and first use

  • Manually program your device

    If the activation did not complete successfully, manually program your device.

    Manually programming your device requires a 6-digit programming code. If your device was activated via www.sprint.com/activate, this code may be found in the activation confirmation email or on the programming instructions page displayed after the activation was processed.

    1. On a computer that is connected to the NETGEAR® 4G LTE Gateway 6100D, open the web browser and enter http://192/168.0.1 in the address bar.
    2. Press Enter.
    3. If asked to log in, enter admin in the User name field, the password in the Password field, and then click OK.

      Note: The default password is password.

    4. Click Settings.
    5. Click the Network tab.
    6. Scroll to and click the Manual Configuration button.
    7. Enter the 6-digit programming code.
    8. Click the Submit button.
  • Reset network connection

    If manually programming the device did not activate it, try resetting the network connect.

    Resetting your device requires a 6-digit programming code. If your device was activated via www.sprint.com/activate, this code may be found in the activation confirmation email or on the programming instructions page displayed after the activation was processed.

    1. On a computer that is connected to the NETGEAR 4G LTE Gateway 6100D, open the web browser and enter http://192/168.0.1 in the address bar.
    2. Press Enter.
    3. If asked to log in, enter admin in the User name field, the password in the Password field, and then click OK.

    4. Click Settings.
    5. Click the Software and Reset link on the General tab.
    6. Scroll to Factory Reset and click the Reset button.
    7. Enter the 6-digit programming code.
    8. Click the Submit button.
    9. Read the message, then click Begin Reset.
    10. Your device restarts.
    11. After it restarts and reconnects to the network, your device will automatically activate.
