Program your Palm Centro

Last Updated: Nov 18, 2013

You can use these programming instructions if you have a new phone or a used phone activated by a previous owner, and you have completed the Activate your new phone process in My Sprint. If so, you should refer to the page you printed showing the codes you need for these instructions to work.

To program your phone:

  1. Locate the Mobile Equipment Identifier (MEID) number for your phone. It can be found in several places:
    • Turn off the phone and remove the battery. The MEID can be found in the phone underneath the battery.
    • The MEID is printed on the barcode sticker on the end of the original box, labeled MEID-DEC or MEID-HEX.
    • From the phone screen menu, select Options, and then select Phone Info. The MEID will be displayed on the Phone Info screen along with the Electronic Serial Number (ESN).
  2. Press and hold the Power/End key to turn on the phone. The Power/End key is red and located on the right side of the phone directly under the display screen.
  3. Press the Phone key one time to display the dial pad.
  4. If you have a new phone, a phone that is new to you, but not brand new, follow the instructions below:
    • Press ## followed by the one-time 6-digit code, located in the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page, on the QWERTY keyboard, followed by an additional #. (Example, ##123456#. The last # entered will not show on the display.)
  5. If you have a previously activated phone, a phone that is new to you, but not brand new, follow the instructions below:
    • Press ## followed by the secondary 6-digit code, located in the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page, on the QWERTY keyboard, followed by an additional #. (Example, ##123456#. The last # entered will not show on the display.)
  6. Tap the Edit button. This will select the Mobile Number field.
  7. Using the QWERTY keyboard, enter the 10-digit MDN. NOTE: There is no need to hold down the number lock key. The field is defaulted for numbers.
  8. Press the 4-way Navigation key to select MSID. Using the QWERTY keyboard, enter the 10-digit MSID.
  9. Tap the Save button located at the bottom left of the display. There will be a brief pause and this completes programming.
  10. The phone will display the message: Activation Complete. Tap the OK button located at the bottom left of the display. Please wait; the display will return back to the dial pad.

NOTE: It can take up to four hours to complete the activation process and for your phone to begin working. If the provisioning process does not complete within five hours, contact us.
