Program your Samsung ACE

Last Updated: Nov 18, 2013

You can use these programming instructions if you have a new phone or a used phone activated by a previous owner, and you have completed the Activate your new phone process in My Sprint. If so, you should refer to the page you printed showing the codes you need for these instructions to work.

To program your phone:

  1. Locate the Mobile Equipment Identification Number (MEID) for your phone:
    • Turn off the phone and remove the battery. The MEID can be found in the phone underneath the battery.
    • The MEID is printed on the barcode sticker on the end of the original box, labeled MEID-DEC or MEID-HEX.
  2. Press and hold the Power/End button to turn on the phone. The Power/End button is located on the top, left side of the phone. NOTE: If you are not at the dial pad, press the green Phone key one time to display the dial pad.
  3. If you have a new phone that have never been activated, follow the instructions below:
    • Press ## followed by the one-time 6-digit code, located in the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page, on the QWERTY keyboard, followed by an additional #. Example 6-digit code: ##123456#). The last # entered will not show on the display.
  4. If you have a previously activated phone, a phone that is new to you but not brand new, follow the instructions below:
    • Press ## followed by the secondary 6-digit code, located in the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page, on the QWERTY keyboard, followed by an additional #. Example 6-digit code: ##123456#). The last # entered will not show on the display. NOTE: You will be taken to the Service Menu.
  5. From the Service Menu, scroll to Edit, and press the Center OK key or the Return key.
  6. Using the QWERTY keyboard, enter the MDN number from the Programming screen, and then press the Center OK key or the Return key.
  7. Using the QWERTY keyboard, enter the MSID number from the Programming screen, and then press the Center OK key or the Return key.
  8. With the correct MDN/MSID programmed, select Done, and then press the Center OK key or the Return key.
  9. After the write is successful, a reset dialog box appears. Press the left softkey and the phone will power cycle.

NOTE: It can take up to four hours to complete the activation process and for your phone to begin working. If the provisioning process does not complete within five hours, contact us.
