Program your Treo 755p by Palm

Last Updated: Nov 18, 2013

You can use these programming instructions if you have a new phone or a used phone activated by a previous owner, and you have completed the Activate your new phone process in My Sprint. If so, you should refer to the page you printed showing the codes you need for these instructions to work.

To program your phone:

  1. Find the Electronic Serial Number (ESN) on your phone. There are 3 places you can find it:
    • Underneath the battery on the phone: Turn your phone off by pressing the red Power/End button, and then remove the battery. The serial number is listed on the phone next to ESN DEC or ESN HEX.
    • From the phone screen menu:
      • Press the red Power/End button.
      • Press the Phone button.
      • Press the Menu button.
      • Using the stylus, tap Options.
      • Tap Phone Info. The serial number is displayed on the Phone Info screen next to ESN.
      • Tap OK to close.
    • By the barcode sticker on the end of the original box. The serial number is labeled ESN DEC or ESN HEX.
  2. If necessary, place the battery back into the phone.
  3. Turn your phone on by pressing the red Power/End button.
  4. Press the Phone button one time to display the dial pad.
  5. If you have a new phone that has never been activated, follow the instructions below:
    • Using the stylus, tap ## followed by the one-time 6-digit code located in the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page, followed by an additional #. For example ##123456#. This will take you to the Activating Your Phone menu.
  6. If you have a previously activated phone, follow the instructions below:
    • Using the stylus, tap ##, followed by the secondary 6-digit code, located in the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page, followed by an additional #. For example ##123456#. This will take you to the Activating Your Phone menu.
  7. Tap Edit. This will allow you to edit the Mobile Number text box.
  8. Using the QWERTY keyboard, enter the 10-digit phone number (MDN) from the Programming Details section on the Activate your new phone page. NOTE: You do not need to hold down the number lock key to enter numbers in this text box.
  9. Press the down softkey to scroll to the MSID text box.
  10. Using the QWERTY keyboard, enter the 10-digit MSID number from the Programming Details section on the Activate your new phone page. NOTE: You do not need to hold down the number lock key to enter numbers in this text box.
  11. Tap Save. An Activation Complete message appears.
  12. Tap OK. A Please Wait message appears.

NOTE: It can take up to 4 hours to complete the activation process and for your phone to begin working. If the activation process does not complete within 5 hours, contact us.

NOTE: Once activation is complete, check the Software Downloads page for free software updates.
