Restrict Wireless Web access using My Sprint

Last Updated: Nov 19, 2013

You can restrict certain phones on your account from visiting mobile Websites and Web services innappropriate for children. These changes will take effect within 15 minutes.

To restrict Wireless Web access, you must have a valid My Sprint account and be set up as an account owner. If you are not an account owner and do not have permission to change settings on your account, you will see a message showing your current settings. Read more about the different levels of profile access on sprint.com.

To block all Web access on any Sprint phone on your account, select Block data in the left menu or contact us at 888-211-4727 (*2 on your Sprint phone). Blocking all Web access also blocks data services like picture management and email.

Note: You cannot block or restrict Wireless Web Access for smartphones or Nextel phones online.

Restrict Wireless Web access:

  1. Sign in to My Sprint with valid username and password at www.sprint.com.
  2. Click the My Preferences tab.
  3. Under Limits and Permissions, click Restrict Wireless Web Access.
  4. Click on the phone or device to restrict Web access.
    • A green checkmark will appear indicating that device is selected. Click the device again to remove selection.
  5. Click Save
  6. Restrictions will be added; Web access from your device will be limited to Internet sites deemed appropriate for all ages. For the new settings to take effect, turn your device off and back on.

Unrestrict Wireless Web access:

  5. Click Save.
  6. Restrictions will be removed; you will be able to view content on any Web site that can be accessed by a mobile device. For the new settings to take effect, turn your device off and back on.
