Set up your Sprint voicemail on your BlackBerry Curve 8530 smartphone

Last Updated: Nov 19, 2013

Sprint voicemail is designed to transfer all unanswered calls on your BlackBerry® Curve™ 8530 smartphone to your voicemail, whether your BlackBerry phone is in use or turned off. You should set up your voicemail and personal greeting as soon your Curve 8530 is activated.

To set up your Sprint voicemail:

  1. From the Home screen, press and hold the W key
  2. Follow the screen prompts to:
    • Create your passcode
    • Record your name announcement
    • Record your greeting
    • Choose whether or not to activate One-Touch Message Access (a feature that lets you access messages simply by pressing and holding the W key, bypassing the need to enter your passcode)

Sprint strongly recommends you create a passcode when setting up your voicemail to protect against unauthorized access. Without a passcode, anyone who has access to your phone is able to access your voicemail messages.
