If you receive a GPS signal is weak... message while using Sprint Navigation on your HTC Touch Pro2, you may take these steps to resolve the issue.

This problem occurs when the Quick GPS settings on your phone are set to download new satellite info only when the phone is connected to a computer. The preferred setting is for this info to be downloaded automatically.

To fix this issue:

1. Select Start
2. Click Tools
3. Select Quick GPS
4. Select Download Now
5. Select Auto Download when Data Expires so the device will automatically refresh your GPS as needed

Note that the default GPS settings on your phone do not need to be changed. The default settings should be:

Program port: COM 4

Hardware: none

Manage GPS automatically: checked

There is a .reg file posted on some external blogs that will not resolve this issue - if you have installed this file on your phone, you will need to perform a hard reset to restore your original settings.
