Troubleshoot common issues on your Motorola XPRT

This article lists common troubleshooting steps that resolve most issues on your Motorola XPRT.

  • Soft reset

These steps resolve most issues on your Motorola XPRT™ and do not need to be performed in any particular order.

  1. Perform a soft reset.

    A soft reset refreshes your network connection and deletes any temporary files that may be causing the issue.

    1. Press and hold the Power key, and then tap Power off to turn your Motorola XPRT off.
    2. Remove the battery. After 30 seconds, reinsert the battery.
    3. Press and hold the Power key to turn your Motorola XPRT back on.
    4. Test your device to see if the issue is resolved.
  2. Update the data profile.

    Updating the data profile refreshes your data service parameters and may resolve issues related to data connectivity.
