Troubleshoot if you cannot download or delete music tracks on your Palm Pre

Last Updated: Nov 18, 2013

You may experience the following issue with your Palm® Pre™.

When downloading music tracks, your Pre might automatically turn off and back on again. This will happen when the storage card is full. If you try to delete some music tracks to create space, you find you can't do it directly from the Pre.

This is a known issue, and we are working to remedy it through a future handset software update.

In the meantime, we recommend you always make sure you have enough storage space available on the card before downloading new music. If needed, delete some files (music, photos, documents, etc.) to free up space.

To delete music tracks, connect your phone to your computer with the USB cable and use the Media Sync menu to select the desired tracks for deletion. Always backup or save any files to your computer's hard drive before deleting.

Note: At any time, you can check that you have the latest software version for your phone. For instructions on how to check your software version and update your phone software, refer to Check for Updates.
