This article helps you troubleshoot Bluetooth issues on your Samsung Epic 4G.
You may have Bluetooth® issues if your Samsung Epic™ 4G is unable to:
These steps help identify and resolve the underlying cause. After completing each step, test to see if the issue is fixed. If not, continue to the next step.
Does the device you're pairing with support the same Bluetooth protocols as your Samsung Epic 4G?
If not, you won't be able to connect to that Bluetooth device.
Be sure your Bluetooth device is compatible with Bluetooth Version 2.1 with EDR, A2DP, AVRCP, DUN, GAVDP, GOEP, HFP 1.5, HSP, OPP, PBAP, SDAP.
Note: Refer to the Bluetooth device's user manual to see if it's compatible.
Bluetooth may be turned off on either the Samsung Epic 4G or the other Bluetooth device. Be sure Bluetooth is enabled on both devices.
Is the Bluetooth device in range?
The Bluetooth communication range for most devices, including your Samsung Epic 4G, is about 30 feet. Be sure your devices are in range.
A soft reset deletes any temporary files that may be causing the issue.
Removing the pairing, restarting your Samsung Epic 4G, and then re-pairing the Bluetooth device refreshes and updates your connection.
Note: To optimize device performance, be sure your Samsung Epic 4G is running the most recent device software. Check for software updates.
