Troubleshoot issues related to data connectivity and your NETGEAR 4G LTE Gateway 6100D

This article helps you troubleshoot data connectivity issues on your NETGEAR 4G LTE Gateway 6100D.

You may have data connectivity issues if you're unable to:

  • Connect to the Internet
  • Browse websites
  • Send or receive email

These steps help identify and resolve the underlying cause. After completing each step, test to see if the issue is fixed. If not, continue to the next step.

  1. Verify Sprint data is connected.

    1. On a computer that is connected to the NETGEAR® 4G LTE Gateway 6100D, open the web browser and enter http://192/168.0.1 in the address bar.
    2. Press Enter.
    3. If asked to log in, enter admin in the User name field, the password in the Password field, and then click OK.

      Note: The default password is password.

    4. If the Status displays Data Disconnected, click the Connect button.
    5. The Status will change to Data Connected.
  2. Update the data profile.

    1. On a computer that is connected to the NETGEAR 4G LTE Gateway 6100D, open the web browser and enter http://192/168.0.1 in the address bar.
    2. Press Enter.
    3. If asked to log in, enter admin in the User name field, the password in the Password field, and then click OK.

      Note: The default password is password.

    4. Click Settings.
    5. Click the Network tab.
    6. Scroll to and click the Update data profile button and wait until it completes.
    7. Click the OK button.
  3. Perform a soft reset.

    A soft reset reconnects your NETGEAR 4G LTE Gateway 6100D to the Sprint network.

    1. Turn your device off.
    2. After 30 seconds, turn your device back on.
  4. Do you know if other Sprint customers are experiencing the same problem in the same location?

    • If yes or you don't know: Please contact Sprint Customer Care for help.
    • If no: Please find the nearest Sprint Repair center and schedule an appointment so a Sprint technician can further diagnose the issue.
