This article provides troubleshooting tips for the HTC EVO 3D. It contains troubleshooting steps and advice to help resolve issues that may occur when the touchscreen is not responding.
The symptoms you may experience if you are having this problem include:The following steps and advice can be used to help identify the underlying cause of the issue and resolve it. After completing each step, test to see if the problem still occurs. If so, proceed to the following step.
Occasionally, the thickness or texture of a screen protector can inhibit touchscreen functionality. Similarly, some protective cases can apply excessive pressure on the touchscreen and inhibit touchscreen functionality. If using a screen protector or protective case, remove it and determine if the problem still occurs.
Note: Only use HTC EVO 3D compatible protective cases.
This process will delete any temporary files that may be causing the problem. To perform a soft reset, turn your HTC EVO 3D off and remove the battery. After 30 seconds, reinsert the battery and turn your HTC EVO 3D back on. If a soft reset did not solve the problem, then move on to the next step.
If the prior troubleshooting steps did not solve the issue, the problem may be due to a broader performance issue. To troubleshoot performance issues, follow these instructions.
