This article provides troubleshooting tips for the HTC EVO 3D. It contains troubleshooting steps and advice to help resolve issues that may occur when your HTC EVO 3D will not turn on completely.
The symptoms you may experience if you are having this problem include:The following steps and advice can be used to help identify the underlying cause of the issue and resolve it. After completing each step, test to see if the problem still occurs. If so, proceed to the following step.
Performing a soft reset will delete any temporary files that may be interfering with your device's ability to turn on completely. To perform a soft reset, turn your HTC EVO 3D off and remove the battery.
Note: Carefully inspect the battery while it is out and ensure that it is not overheating, swollen or damaged. These are signs that the battery needs to be replaced and may be the cause of the problem. If the battery is overheating, swollen or damaged, do not reinsert it or attempt to charge your HTC EVO 3D. Instead, please visit the nearest Sprint Service and Repair Center to have your HTC EVO 3D checked by a Sprint Technician.

After 30 seconds, reinsert the battery and turn your HTC EVO 3D back on. If a soft reset did not solve the problem, then move on to the troubleshooting steps below.
If the battery charge is low, it may prevent your HTC EVO 3D from turning on completely. Charge your device for a few hours, using the charger that came with it.
When charging, verify that the charging indicator appears. If the charging indicator does not appear, this could mean the battery is no longer taking a charge.
