There is an incompatibility issue with Sprint SmartView and the Sierra Sprint Connection Manager. If you have a previous version of the Sprint SmartView and Sierra Sprint Connection Manager loaded on your computer and then install a newer version of Sprint SmartView client, either via TRU-Install or Standalone, the previous Sierra Connection Manager won't work, and Sierra Sprint Connection Manager will be in the inactive mode.
This will also happen if Sprint SmartView alone is uninstalled and both Connection Managers are present on your computer. If this happens and you attempt to uninstall the Sierra Connection Manager and Sprint SmartView is still present, it may impact your SmartView client functionality.
If you run into this problem, you should uninstall all current versions of Connection Manager and reboot your computer. After uninstalling and rebooting your computer, you can plug in the Compass 597 again and proceed with the TRU-Install of Sprint SmartView.
