Troubleshoot why your Palm Treo Pro has incoming SMS messages showing an incorrect year

A software update corrects the following issue with your Palm Treo Pro.
An issue has been identified where some Windows Mobile devices may show an inaccurate date with incoming SMS messages showing a year of 2016.
This issue first occurred on January 1, 2010, and is caused by the device attempting to translate a hexadecimal value into decimal when it should not, causing an inaccurate date to be displayed.
To fix this, please update your handset software to include the Date Stamp Update patch.
