Use Google Maps on your Samsung Intercept

You can rely on Google Maps to get where you're going with concise, easy-to-read maps and driving directions.


To open Google Maps:

  1. Open the Applications tab
  2. Select the Maps Widget
  3. Touch the Menu key, and select from options such as:
    • Search: Find an address or a business
    • Directions: Get driving, walking, or public transit directions
    • My Location: Pinpoint current location
    • Layers: Explore different map styles such as traffic, satellite, Buzz, Latitude, and more
    • Join Latitude: Sign up for Latitude to display the location of nearby friends on a map
    • More: Access additional options such as Clear Map, Starred Items, Google Labs, Help, Terms & Privacy, and About

To get driving directions to a location:

  1. Press the Menu key and then Directions
  2. Use the keyboard to enter the starting point and destination; type My Location if starting from the current location
  3. Choose from driving, public transit, or pedestrian directions, and then select Go
  4. Turn-by-turn directions will be displayed, and you may choose to show the directions on a map and/or to utilize Google Maps Navigation for voice directions
