Customer Instructions for Change of Ownership

These instructions are for personal accounts paid by individuals. For transfers involving a business account, please contact Business Care at 800-927-2199.

Important: If you purchased your device in installments using Sprint Easy Pay, your agreement must be paid in full before a change of ownership can be processed. For assistance, please call *2 or 888-211-4727.

Follow the steps below to transfer an active line of service to a new or different account:

1. Click the link below to begin your change of ownership.

2. Complete the online form.

  • Both the releasing account holder and accepting account holder (or authorized point of contact) must complete the online change of ownership request together.
  • Personal identification must be submitted during the online change of ownership request. Acceptable forms of identification include a driver's license, passport or state-authorized ID.
  • If the online form or your personal identification is expired, illegible or incomplete, we will not be able to complete your change of ownership request.
     

3. Wait 24 hours to allow your information to be processed.

4. After waiting 24 hours, call 855-808-4185. Both parties must be on the line together to complete the change of ownership.

  • Hours of operation: Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Central Time.
