Steps to enable or disable TalkBack on your Google Pixel

TalkBack is a feature designed to assist blind or low-vision users by describing what you select on the screen.

  • To enable TalkBack:

    1. From the home screen, swipe down the Status bar.
    2. Tap the Settings icon.
    3. Scroll to and tap Accessibility.
    4. Tap TalkBack.
    5. Tap the switch to enable TalkBack.
    6. Review the message and tap OK.
  • To disable TalkBack:

    1. From the home screen, swipe down the Status bar using two fingers.
    2. Tap the Settings icon once to draw the green outline on it, then tap two times on the screen.
    3. Scroll to using two fingers and tap Accessibility once to draw the green outline on it, then tap two times on the screen.
    4. Tap TalkBack once to draw the green outline on it, then tap two times on the screen.
    5. Tap the TalkBack switch once to draw the green outline on it, then tap two times on the screen.
    6. Tap OK once to draw the green outline on it, then tap two times on the screen.
