FAQs related to the screen lock on your Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+

Last Updated: Oct 04, 2016

Answers to some of your questions about screen lock on your Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+

  • How do I recover a forgotten screen lock?

If you already have a Google account set up on your Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+, you can reset the screen lock online via the Android Device Manager.

If you do not have a Google account already set up on the phone, you can only reset the screen lock by performing a Hardware Factory Reset to erase the phone.

Note: A factory reset will result in the loss of all data stored on the device including 3rd party applications. This type of reset should only be used as a last resort after all other options have been exhausted. If possible, it is highly recommended that you complete a backup of the device information before proceeding with this step.
