Recover contacts on your LG Viper

Steps to recover your saved contacts

Note: You can recover your contacts only if you've previously backed them up.
  • Display options

  • Be sure all of your contacts are visible.

    1. From the home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Contacts.
    3. Tap the Menu key.
    4. Tap Display options.
    5. Tap All contacts.
    6. You can now see all of your contacts.
  • Memory card

  • If you saved your contacts to the memory card on either your LG Viper™ 4G LTE or a previous device, you can recover your contacts.

    1. From the home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Tap Contacts.
    3. Tap the Menu key.
    4. Tap Import/Export.
    5. Tap Import from SD card.
    6. Tap the location where you want to save your contacts.
    7. Your LG Viper 4G LTE automatically searches for contact (vCard) files on the memory card. If the search returns more than one contact file, tap the desired option and tap Import.

  • Google Sync™

  • Google Sync is a free service that synchronizes your LG Viper 4G LTE with your Google™ (Gmail™) account. If you've saved your contacts to your Google account, you can restore them to your device.

    1. From the home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Scroll to and tap Settings.
    3. Scroll to and tap Accounts & sync.
    4. Tap ADD ACCOUNT.
    5. Tap Google.
    6. Tap Existing.
    7. Enter the Google account credentials.
    8. Tap Sign in.
    9. You can also set up a Google+ account.
      • Follow the prompts to Join Google+.
      • To skip this step, tap Not now.
    10. You can also Enable purchases from Google Play Store™
      • Follow the prompts and tap Save.
      • To skip this step, tap Skip.
    11. Tap to check or uncheck your preferred sync options.
    12. Tap Next.
    13. You've now added the Google account.

  • Bluetooth®

  • Some Bluetooth-enabled devices have Bluetooth file transfer capabilities. If you stored your contacts on another Bluetooth-enabled device, you can recover your contacts.

    1. Be sure you have Bluetooth enabled on the other device and it's ready to be paired.
    2. From the LG Viper 4G LTE home screen, tap Apps.
    3. Scroll to and tap Settings.
    4. Tap Bluetooth.
    5. Tap the toggle switch to ON if it isn't already selected.
    6. Tap Search for devices.
    7. Your LG Viper 4G LTE searches for available Bluetooth devices within range. Tap the name of the other device.
    8. If a Bluetooth pairing request displays, verify the passkeys match and tap Pair.
      • If prompted, enter the passkey and tap OK.
      • If you're unsure of the passkey, try entering 0000 or 1234 (the default for most Bluetooth devices).
    9. After you've paired the devices, begin the transfer of contacts from the other device.
    10. After the transfer is complete, open the file on your LG Viper 4G LTE and follow the prompts to load the contacts into the contact list.
    11. Note:Sprint recommends you save your contacts to your Google account.
