Troubleshoot issues related to mobile hotspots and your Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5

Last Updated: Jun 14, 2016

This article helps troubleshoot mobile hotspot issues on your Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5.

You may have mobile hotspot issues if you:

  • See Error 67 on your Samsung Galaxy Tab® S 10.5
  • Can't connect another device to your Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 mobile hotspot
  • Connect to the mobile hotspot but can't browse

These steps help identify and resolve the underlying cause. After completing each step, test to see if the issue is fixed. If not, continue to the next step.

  1. Verify you've enabled and set up mobile hotspot on your Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5.

    Turn Wi-Fi hotspot on.

    Set up Wi-Fi hotspot.

  2. Verify mobile data is enabled.

    1. From the home screen, tap the All Apps icon.
    2. Scroll to and tap Settings.
    3. From the CONNECTIONS tab, tap Data usage.
      • To enable mobile data, tap to check Mobile data.
  3. Verify your Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is connected to the Sprint network using Sprint Zone.

    1. Access Sprint Zone.
    2. Tap Network
    3. Your data connection status displays.
    4. Swipe left to access Device Diagnostics.
    5. Tap System Updates.
    6. Tap Update Profile.
    7. After the profile update is complete, tap OK.
  4. Verify your subscription has an active mobile hotspot add-on.

On, log in to My Sprint to verify the add-on is active on the subscription.

Without the hotspot add-on, you can't share your Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 mobile hotspot with other devices.

  5. Perform a soft reset.

A soft reset reconnects your Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 to the Sprint network.

    1. Press and hold both the Power and Volume up keys until the device turns off.

Note: To optimize device performance, be sure your Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is running the most recent device software. Check for software updates.
