Try each of these steps to see if it helps your charge last longer.

  1. Verify that your ALCATEL ONETOUCH Retro is running the most recent software.

    1. From the home screen, press the Center key.
    2. Scroll to Tools, and press the Center key.
    3. Scroll to Update Phone and press the Center key.
    4. Scroll to Tap Update Firmware and press the Center key.
    5. Scroll to Update Firmware and press the Center key.
      • If an update is available, follow the prompts to install.
  2. Safely remove your SD card.

    1. Turn your phone off.
    2. Remove the battery.
    3. Remove the SD card.
    4. Reinsert the battery.
    5. Turn your phone back on.
  3. Perform a soft reset.

A soft reset restarts your phone and does not erase any of your content or data.

    1. Turn your phone off.
    2. Remove the battery. After 30 seconds, reinsert the battery.
    3. Turn your phone back on.
  4. Verify that your charger is working.

Note: You risk severe damage to your phone if the charger isn't the same voltage, amps, and plug type as your original charger. You can purchase compatible chargers on sprint.com and at any Sprint Store.

    1. Connect your phone to your charger.
    2. Verify that the Battery Status is Charging.

If you still have a battery issue, try the Sprint Community pages, review these FAQs, or make an appointment at a convenient Sprint Repair center.
