Try each of these steps to see if it helps improve your phone's performance.

  1. Safely remove your SD card.

    1. Turn your phone off.
    2. Remove the battery.
    3. Remove the SD card.
    4. Reinsert the battery.
    5. Turn your phone back on.

  2. Determine if your phone has low memory.

    1. Press the Center key.
    2. Scroll to Tools and press the Center key.
    3. Scroll to Mass Storage and press the Center key.
    4. Scroll to Memory Info and press the Center key.
    5. Scroll to Phone and press the Center key.
    6. The amount of available memory is displayed in the Available category.
    7. If your phone has low memory, troubleshoot low memory issues.
  3. Verify that your Alcatel OneTouch Retro is running the most recent software.

    There may be a software update that improves battery life on your phone. Check for software updates.
