Steps to recover saved contacts on your Apple iPad mini 3
Follow the steps in each of these sections to recover your missing contacts:
Note: You can recover your contacts only if you've previously backed them up.
- iCloud
If your contacts were synced with iCloud, you can sign into iCloud and recover them.
- From the home screen, tap Settings.
- Scroll to and tap iCloud.
- Tap the iCloud Username field and enter your iCloud username.
- Tap the iCloud Password field and enter your iCloud password.
- Tap Sign In.
- If prompted to Merge with iCloud, tap Merge.
- If prompted to Allow iCloud to Use the Location of Your iPad, tap the preferred option.
- Ensure the Contacts switch is turned on.
- Google?
If you've saved your contacts to your Google account, you can restore them to your Apple iPad mini 3.
- From the home screen, tap Settings.
- Scroll to and tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
- Tap Add Account.
- Tap Google.
- Enter your Google email address, and password.
- Tap Sign in.
- Tap Allow.
- Ensure that the Contacts switch is ON.
- Tap Save.
- Bluetooth®
Some Bluetooth-enabled devices have Bluetooth file transfer capabilities. If you stored your contacts on another Bluetooth-enabled device, you can recover your contacts.
- Be sure you have Bluetooth enabled on the other device and it's ready to be paired.
- From the Apple iPad mini 3 home screen, tap Settings.
- Tap Bluetooth.
- Tap the Bluetooth switch on if needed.
- Your device searches for available Bluetooth devices within range. Tap the name of the other device.
- If a Bluetooth pairing request displays, verify the passkeys match and tap Pair.
- If prompted, enter the PIN and tap OK.
- If you're unsure of the passkey, try entering 0000 or 1234 (the default for most Bluetooth devices).
- After you've paired the devices, begin the transfer of contacts from the other device.
- After the transfer is complete, open the file on your Apple iPad mini 3 and follow the prompts to load your contacts into your contact list.
Note: Sprint recommends you save your contacts to your Google account.
