Troubleshoot when your Lumia 635 doesn't turn on

You may have this issue if your Lumia 635:

  • Doesn't turn on
  • Starts to turn on but restarts or shuts down before it turns on completely

Try each of these steps if your phone doesn't turn on.

  1. Verify that your Lumia 635 has a sufficient charge.

    1. Connect your original charger to your phone.
    2. After a few minutes, try to turn on your phone by pressing and holding the Power key.
  2. Verify that your phone, charging port, and battery contacts are not damaged.

    1. Carefully inspect your phone to be sure it's not overheating, swollen or damaged.
    2. Carefully inspect your phone's charging port and remove any debris.
    3. Remove the battery.
    4. Carefully clean and inspect the gold contacts on both the battery and on your phone.

  3. Verify that you are using a compatible charger.
